Rules
The tournament is a six-round Swiss system.
Any game not completed by the draw for the next round will be adjudged a draw for the purposes of the next round draw, and the preceding round will be adjusted accordingly when the game has been played.
All games are to be played using the Fischer time control of all moves in 75 minutes plus 10-second increment.
All results will be submitted to the ECF for grading.
All of the normal FIDE Laws of Chess apply.
In the event of a tie after six rounds, a play-off will be used to determine the winner, with colours reversed from previous games if applicable, otherwise colours will be drawn. In the event of more than two players tying, a round-robin will be played.
With the new League season almost upon us, the decision was made to do away with a play-off and award the title jointly.
